Our fee for the 2010 season is $300.00 per person.
 We accept cash, checks, and the following charge cards

We advise reservations be made as early as possible as this is an extremely popular attraction to Alaskans and Alaska visitors alike.

Reservations and Deposit: When you have decided on what date you prefer and how many people will be going look at our  Calendar to see if we have the number of seats needed, then Email or call us at (907) 235-7014 and we will place you on our calendar. We require a deposit of 50% of the total charter fee, and upon receiving it, we will send you a confirmation and directions to our boat in the Homer Small Boat Harbor. We will collect any balance due on the day of the charter at the boat. 

Parties larger than six persons can be accommodated through business associates with like vessels and services.

Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel your fishing trip with us we offer a full refund of funds received if you cancel at least 14 days prior to your scheduled date. If you cannot give us notice of more than 13 days we will retain the deposit unless we can book another party equal in size for the same date. If we can book another party we will retain 10% of the total charter fee from your deposit and refund the balance. If we cannot book another party your deposit will be forfeited. Failure to show on the date and time contracted for will result in a deposit forfeiture. If A-WARD CHARTERS must cancel your fishing trip due to weather or other situations beyond our control we will gladly make other arrangements or refund all funds received.

The following is a list of charter do’s and don’ts. Hopefully it will help answer some questions about what you should bring and what you should leave at home, what to expect and what not to expect. This should make your charter experience more pleasant.

DO...

  • Bring your own sunscreen, motion sensitivity medications, lunch, beverages, extra layered clothing, and of course rain gear.
  • Bring a camera, film, batteries, and memory card.
  • Bring a cooler to put your fish in if you are packing it yourself, if not fish processing, vacuum packing, freezing, and shipping are available from Coal Point Seafoods at the harbor.
  • Bring any personal medications and please advise the Captain of any medical conditions you may have.
  • Get a good night’s sleep and have a positive attitude.
  • Expect to be treated with courtesy and respect by the Captain and crew.
  • Gratuities are graciously accepted by the Captain and crew if you feel they are so deserving.

DON'T...

  • Wear shoes with hard black soles that may be slick and leave scuff marks on the deck. Sneakers, rubber boots and deck shoes are preferred.
  • Bring your laptop, Cell phone, walkman, iPod, or gameboy, we are going fishing.
  • Board the vessel without the Captain or crew’s permission
  • Throw trash of any kind overboard or on the deck
  • Tell the Captain or crew how to fish
  • Complain to the Captain or crew about the fish not biting, they cannot make the fish bite.
  • Expect to stock your freezer on a one day fishing trip
  • Demand to catch a certain size or quantity of fish, fishing is fishing and there are no guarantees
  • Expect to pay less if you don’t catch a limit
  • Expect to keep fishing after you have retained your limit
  • Plan on getting intoxicated on your charter, boats and booze don’t mix

Alaska Sportfishing License Fees Fishing Licenses are NOT needed by either residents or non-residents of Alaska under 16 years. The daily bag limit is still 2 halibut of any size. On Line Licensing can be done at: http://www.admin.adfg.state.ak.us/license
